Our Mission:

To remove barriers, inspire creativity, and expand access to the performing arts by providing educational opportunities, mentorship, and practical live-stage experiences in music, comedy, theater, and related disciplines.

We serve people of all ages, including veterans, seniors, and underserved populations, with special emphasis on helping children and emerging young artists develop their talents and gain valuable experience performing on stage with professional and experienced musicians.

Our Vision:

We envision communities of every size offering affordable, accessible opportunities to experience and participate in live music, comedy, theater, and performing arts education.

By bringing generations together through shared artistic experiences, we seek to strengthen community connections, nurture local talent, and help establish lasting cultural traditions.

Our Current Initiatives:

The MZP Foundation is working to revive and sustain the tradition of live Opry-style entertainment in smaller North Texas communities with suitable performance venues.

Our inaugural project, the Mansfield Live Opry, is being established at the historic Farr Best Theater in downtown Mansfield, Texas, serving Mansfield and surrounding communities, including South Arlington, Kennedale, Waxahachie, Forest Hill, Burleson and neighboring areas.

The Foundation has scheduled 13 monthly performances from December 2026 through December 2027. These family-friendly variety shows will combine live music, comedy, and theatrical entertainment while creating practical performance opportunities for aspiring artists and bringing generations together.

Financial contributions, sponsorships, and community partnerships help the MZP Foundation:

  • Produce affordable, family-friendly music, comedy, and theatrical events.
  • Provide educational, mentoring, and live-performance opportunities for children, youth, and emerging artists.

  • Support musicians, comedians, performers, instructors, and technical production personnel.
  • Provide essential production resources, including sound, lighting, staging, costumes, and publicity.
  • Maintain affordable ticket prices and expand access through our Sponsored Ticket Program, providing complimentary admission to selected individuals and groups.
  • Help restore and sustain live Opry-style entertainment as a valued community tradition.
